Midori - Hibino 2025 Diary - A6 - Blue Green

This chubby little journal/planner/diary is a winner in my book

This cute, chubby A6 Hibino journal is really rather wonderful to use. Midori give you several examples as to how you can use it but really the best thing about this little beauty is just how versatile and functional it can be. In my opinion, if you want to use it as a planner it has everything you need, if you want to keep memories and journal it has enough room (2 pages a day!) and if you just want to capture drawings and notes then the pre-printed lines and times are small and faint enough that they won't get in your way. The paper, oh the paper! It's lovely - thin and yet will hold fountain pen ink without (in my case up to a medium nib with dark inks) bleed through and ghosting. What more do you want? I have decorated mine with transfers from Midori on the front and, because it is chubby, I would encourage those that want to embellish their books to consider transfers (think Midori, Pion and MU Lifestyle) so as to keep the bulk you add to this already bulky book down. But surely there must be a downside? Well... if you want to write a lot and have large writing then the very small grid is going to be challenging. And, there is no little storage pocket on the back - boo! And one really small but nevertheless annoying gripe - the bottle green ribbon with this beautiful pale teal book is just nasty looking - I cut it out and used lovely little brass page markers instead.

The quality of the paper.

I love this diary! It has two pages per day, so I can add ephemera, tickets etc. The paper is good quality so I can use my fountain pens and inks. The cover is a soft textured pale turquoise - perfect for stroking! The team at Art From the Heart are brilliant - beautiful packaging with a little packet of sweets enclosed. Thank you everyone.
