Lennon Tool Bar - 30ml Ink - Guardian Beasts - Shi Shi Zi

Guardian Beasts refer to the loyal protectors often seen in Taiwanese traditional beliefs. Some guard temples, others preserve history, some calm strong winds, and others have served under different religious beliefs. These guardian beasts silently safeguard people across Taiwan.

At the entrance of temples, one often finds a pair of stone lions. The male lion steps on a decorative ball, while the female lion nurtures a cub. Day and night, they guard the temple, providing visitors with a sense of peace and tranquility.

Lennon Tool Bar was founded in 2014 at Tamsui, Taiwan. Initially they produced and promoted the art and craft of Indigo Dyeing, a business that flourished a century ago when Taiwan exported a considerable amount of “doroai” — or the raw material of colourants used in Indigo Dyeing — to the Japanese Empire.
