Kaweco - AL Sport Fountain Pen - Raw
The Raw Kaweco AL Sport fountain pen is made from polished, unlacquered aluminium, which will age and develop its own unique patina over time unless polished. Please be aware that it scratches easily. It has silver accents. The stainless steel nib is made by Bock of Heidelberg and is available in 5 sizes from extra fine to extra broad. As early as 1905 Kaweco had already manufactured the first writing instruments made out of metal. Products which were made out of silver or gold plated brass in the past, are made from aluminium today. High-quality aluminium is processed by CNC-technique and other processes in order to obtain a satin finish and hardened surface. The "Stonewashed" version already has a used look. The "Raw" model develops a patina especially quick, because the aluminium is untreated.
