Get those pencils and pastels out and make some beautiful unique Christmas cards, full of colour. Prisma colour pencils are high in colour pigmentation and are so vivid when used on Kraft card. Everyone knows I am constantly collecting and reciting quotes, but it’s where to put them without losing them.!! This gorgeous book is created from watercolour paper, covered in luscious, paints and inks. You will love the unusual way the book is bound together. As well as quotes provided you will have tons of space to add your own.
Turn those old Reader's Digest books into something more interesting to look at! Alter them with lovely layers of paints, inks, fabric, Ephemera and findings. This may look like a book on the shelf but when you open it, there is a hit of colour and lots of creative interest to look at. You'll learn how to glue all your pages together and cut out the inside, adding paint and mediums to change the look of the book pages. Then adding some crafty bits n bobs to hide in the cut outs. A wonderful keepsake to hide on your bookshelf.
My newest passion is making journals out of primed canvas sheets. We will be inking, pain ting, spraying, stitching - yes I did say stitching, hand and machine. We will be adding trims, tags, flaps and pockets. Then for the finishing touches we will be stamping and doodling. Like me you will be unable to stop at one!

The term zetti is a bit hard to explain. I always felt that it was a random style of artwork, that was random but meaningful to you. Now it seems to be getting more characterised by brightly coloured images of people with stripy/spotty arms and legs. Throw in some wings and a couple of hats, stamped images and paint effects. Stir in some quotes and leave to simmer with Beeswax for a short while, and Voila..!! a piece to be proud of.
This was such a popular class last time it sold out at preview. This time it is slightly smaller in size but still packs a punch. Sumptuous rustic shades teamed with metal hardware and eclectic stamping, what more could you ask for..??

The Octopode Factory have done it again, stunning Alice in Wonderland stamp images. We will be decorating canvas and watercolour paper with Dylusions paints and inks, folding and stitching to create a book , painting the images with inks and combining the two for a stunning result.

I will take you step by step through creating a beautiful keepsake that appears to keep on unfolding. Using beautiful Tim Holtz papers for a stunning decorative finish where you can add your own photo’s or keep as a decorative master piece.
Oh yes. The season of winter is truly upon us! I thought I would embrace it and make this lovely book of quotes with wintery images. We will make beautiful backgrounds for our pages by adding texture using a variety of techniques – painting and spritzing, collage and oh, have you tried Wendy Vecchi’s embossing paste yet? This class is your opportunity to try it out. We will use a Tim Holtz binding ring system to put the book together which gives the added bonus of being able to create and add more pages as desired.
Alcohol ink always gives a stunning result to your work. Today's workshop will give you a head start with your Christmas preparations. Of course we will be using Tim Holtz,s Christmas range of stamps and throwing in a bit of Grunge etc here and there
This lovely hanging triptych is all about the lurve… and Valentine’s Day is not far off once we find ourselves in the New Year! I’ve used Golden paints for the background in my favourite colour combination but the choice is yours….
A chance to get ahead and prepare a few monthly calendar pages ready for 2012! If you have already been taking part in Kate’s calendar challenge then this a great opportunity to get a few pages ready for daily journaling in advance, but if you always wanted to have a go but never quite got round to it then here’s your chance!

Create your very own junk journal and make something beautiful from recycled materials. Kate will show you how to piece together your junk, creating interesting pages, tags and pockets, before binding with the bind-it-all and sticky back canvas to create a journal which is all yours! We’ll use gesso to disguise the ‘junk’, and then we’ll make a start on some beautiful backgrounds. Start collecting now: Cereal boxes, lightweight cardboard packaging, corrugated cardboard, pretty clothing tags, business envelopes … and anything else you fancy!
Optional: bring A4 scans/prints of your own journal backgrounds to create new pages.
Techniques, techniques, techniques. We will be painting, inking, stamping, cutting, sticking, collaging, scoring, folding and creating mini works of art. All to be turned into oodles of gorgeous little mini books, perfect for all occasions.

I think this book showcases them beautifully. It incorporates pockets and tags, stuffed full of lovely goodness. With metal charms and a sheet of very tasteful stickers, you will have very much fun making tags and note lets to adorn this Christmas mini book.

Planners are all the rage … had you noticed?! Planners are an essential part of life and even if you use the calendar on your smart phone you can’t beat good old fashioned pen and paper! But planners can be desperately dull, so lets liven up our planners with stickers, washi tape, doodles, stamping and colour! Let’s make our planners a more interesting place for our to-do lists, shopping lists, errands, appointments, and general memory keeping.
If you have one, you may bring a planner such as a Filofax, or a Midori, but Kate will show you how to make a simple planner cover known as a fauxdori, with some very simple stitching, as a place to keep your notebooks and planners.
Optional: Scraps of fabric will be available on the day, but if you have some favourite fabric, bring it along with you.
I've been wanting to create a treasure box for some time now and couldn’t be more thrilled with the way this one has turned out !!
Come and play with me and create this multi purpose box which can be used for a multitude of reasons (I think I'm going to store all my loose mixed media projects in mine)
We will make all of our own embellishments including the flowers!! and use lots of techniques to create our canvas box, paints, glazes, stencils and more.

Learn how to make wonderful She Art paintings in a mixed-media style. I'll show you how to construct the girls from various coloured papers and book pages, including how to draw the face and hair. I'll also provide a selection of girl templates drawn by me to choose from too, if you're stuck for any ideas that is. We'll make a rich layered background with lots of texture to put your She Art on and I'll bring along lots of prompts for you to make your quote too. 2x 8x10” canvases.

Come and join Kate for a fun and colourful day playing with the fabulous, whimsical, and quirky Stampotique Originals, including Kate’s *NEW* line of stamps! You will get chance to try various techniques using paints and inks to create gorgeous backgrounds, and then turn these backgrounds into tags, cards, ATCs, and maybe even a journal page. Kate will be giving tips on how to colour your images for best effect so if you have favourite colouring mediums (Copics, Polychromos, Prismas etc) then bring them along on the day (but don’t worry, we have some in the studio!).

Alice seems to be everyone’s favourite at the moment. Graphic 45 have some stunning papers that depict it perfectly. Come and create a quirky, 3D box frame and enter into my world for a few hours!

Painting isn’t just for your art journals and canvases. Driftwood is free and plentiful on Britain’s beaches, and it just asks to be altered! Kate will guide you through the preparation stages, before sharing tips for creating designs for your wood, and then will give you ideas for finishing and sealing. Create mini hangings for your home, or try some of your art journaling techniques on a different substrate.
Kate has a collection of driftwood but if you have your own (or feel an urge to go out scavenging) then please bring some with you on the day. Paint pens will also be useful (Montana, Derwent, Posca, Sharpies) so if you have some bring them along.
Create fun and funky pages in your art journal using the ever-popular quirky rubber stamp images from Stampotique Originals. These rubber stamps are full of character and humour, and are a fantastic resource for art journalers providing a wonderful visual focus for your pages. Kate will offer ideas for how to incorporate these images into your journal pages, and show you ways to add your own twist.
Required: Small Moleskine or sketchbook.

Layers, layers, layers.......
In this full day workshop we we create this stunning canvas
We will build up our layers using paints, stencils, stamps and more before sketching in our design and adding some beautiful blending techniques to the finished design.
Finishing off with white paint and pen work you will go home with a beautiful piece you will be proud to hang on your wall
Using a combination of the new dylusions colouring sheets and the new stamp stencil set ‘Dear Santa’ we will be creating a colourful concertina book. Using a combination of the new Christmas products we will also be using Dylusions inks and paints to create your beautiful book that you can take home and treasure!
Due to the make up of the concertina book you can also make your creation into the popular star book style.

Have you ever looked at a Klimt painting and wondered if you could do that? Well you can when you know how. In this class you'll get two Amsterdam Paints pens to keep and take home with you and a colour printed handout for you to follow in class.
If you can draw shapes then you can easily do this painting. We'll break it down into shapes and fill in the colours. The women is a cut out from a magazine and you'll be painting over the top of her, so no complicated drawing here too only shapes. When you have finished you'll be able to admire your handy work when the sun reflects off the beautiful colours you've painted. Please bring with you a black and white journaling pen.
Come and create a stunning book of techniques using a medley of Mixed Media products. Distress, Dylusions, Inktense, gesso, Gelatos, to name a few. Come and learn how to use the products and make gorgeous backgrounds. After constructing the book we will be adding stamped images, colouring and doodling to add the final touches to a fabulous reference guide.
We will be creating an eclectic masterpiece, with washes, Tim’s stamps, gypsy ephemera, doodling, bits, pieces and allsorts. If you have anything you’d like to include in it. Please feel free to bring them.

Step into the wonderful world of 3-D art, and sculpt your very own art doll using the gorgeously light and ever-so-easy to use, Paper Clay. Kate will show you how to shape the clay, and add extra character with fabric, buttons and vintage lace. Add some character with acrylic paints and, and then add a cracked porcelain-look finish. You can go as far as your imagination will carry you with this project!
A gorgeous little flippy, pockety, taggy, binder book utilising the gorgeous Lille collection from 7gypsies. And every gorgeous book needs its own equally gorgeous bag to carry it in. We will be doing a transfer technique to add to your very own little creation from calico. Book, transfer, pocket, stitching, bag, drawstring…what more could a girl ask for???
Come and have some good old fashioned messy fun creating this gorgeous mini book – using naked 7Gypsies journal, we will prepare pages with paint, ink and stamping, learning some great background techniques in the process. But the fun doesn’t end there… we will go on to collage the pages using vintage ephemera, gorgeous 7Gypsies papers and wonderful quotes…. creating your own really unique year book.

You’ll use the wonderful 3D Sizzix Luminary die by Tim Holtz to make this wonderful lantern which can be decorated with a Christmas, Halloween or a vintage theme. You’ll be using paints and gesso to make a metallic style finish and then distress it to make it look realistic. As well as making the lantern you’ll be making beautiful hanging ornaments for the Christmas tree using Tim Holtz’s Christmas papers, dies and stickles and stained glass frames using alcohol inks, stamps and memory glass which will look great with fairy lights shining through.
Mini couture will soon worm their way into your hearts, miniature versions of my Couture stamp sets, just perfect for adding to cards and tags.

Join me for a day of whimsy goodness whilst we create our own whimsy village in our journals. We will explore different techniques including sketching, painting, pencils, collage and more to create our super cute fairy town.

Nows the time to spruce up your baubles girls...!!! We will be taking a giant Christmas bauble and transforming it into something to treasure, and bring out year aftyer year.
The smell of beeswax is soooo relaxing and the finished products are a lot easier to master than everyone thinks. Tags, cards and a small canvas will be all yours to work your magic on.

Using simple techniques we will be creating and decorating a mini journal in the style of Teesha Moore. However using a unique combination of Dylusions stamps and Dyan's journal pages to collage, we will relate the perfect homage to all things Dylusions.
I will also take you through my own style of writing and doodling for you to be able to complete your journal at your own leisure.
*You may want to bring along your own pens in any colours to use on the day. I tend to use POSCA pens.
Use the bind-it-all machine to make a free-standing notepad for your desktop. Kate will show you how to make one of these from just two pieces of A4 card. You can then decorate it with ink sprays and rubber stamps from Dylusions and Tim Holtz to create something very eye-catching. Who knows, you may even have time to make a matching notebook …
All the techniques you ever needed to know about Dylusions ink and some new techniques with a brand new product due to launch at CHA. We will be decorating no12 large manila tags and transforming them into a fabulous reference book full of small tags and quotes, ready for you to decorate in your own style
Here is another fabulous mini book made from the gorgeous new Typography papers from Graphic 45. Pages and pocket pages, some well known (and not so well known) quotes and tags make this book a page turner. Learn how to make the book from scratch with clever folding and sticking, once you know how - you won’t be able to help yourself and make many more!
In this class we'll use both Matt and gloss gel medium to build up the translucent layers of the background, we'll draw and paint our tree and picket fence together and make our beautiful cherry blossom. We'll be using a whole host of mixed-media products to make a colourful interesting canvas. You'll learn lots of mixed-media techniques you'll use again and again at home, and you can finish off your canvas with a quote or leave it blank as its beautiful the way it is.
Think you can’t draw? Then this is the class for you! There should be nothing more natural than drawing in your art journal … but sometimes fear holds us back a little! The only way to improve at drawing faces is to keep drawing them, and then draw them some more. Kate will give you step-by-step guidance on how to draw whimsical faces, and how to paint and shade them to really bring them to life.
You will be working on recycled cardboard so that you can turn your work into gorgeous bunting!

This fabulous book is created from scratch. We will be inking, painting, spraying, gessoing, scraping, mopping, stamping, tearing, painting, doodling stitching’ making apertures, accordions and constructing!!! Phew…Finishing off with a bit of writing and gasps of admiration, lol.
We will be hand stitching a watercolour page book, playing with paint effects, stencils and gesso. And then adding the kooky Stampotique figures over the top. Finishing with some collage and doodling. There are so many techniques to learn in this class and you get a finished item as well. What more could you all want?
