Hobonichi - Accessories
The familiar pirate flag from the One Piece series has been turned into a set of index stickers. You can stick these onto the edges of your monthly calendar page or daily pages to immediately find and open up to your desired spot. They also serve as an accent, even when your techo is closed.
Out of the many One Piece characters, we have chosen Monkey D. Garp, Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Silvers Rayleigh, Gaimon and Zeff for a total of five designs. The illustrations are printed in silver ink.
Vivre Card is based on the piece of paper that includes Silvers Rayleigh’s name, which appears in the manga. Treasure Tab is based on the handwritten note a young Luffy leaves behind after he dines and dashes in the Goa Kingdom with Ace and Sabo.
In the design for Tamagotchi, the characters are lined up in their cute pixel art styles. From the top, you have Mametchi in orange ink, Tamatchi in pink ink and Techotchi in blue ink―a Tamagotchi that was newly discovered on the Hobonichi Techo! Continuing on, there is Kuchipatchi in green ink, Oyajitchi in black ink and finally, a poop in brown ink that is being flushed away. It’s all up to your creativity where you want to use which design!

The little figure on the pen, looking as if it came straight out of an illustration, is so adorably made that you can't help but gaze at it.
Kitagishi actually made this delicate figure herself with clay. This shape was taken as is for this model of the cat resting on the pen.
Various motifs, such as cotton candy, mushrooms, Chopper’s hat, the Rumble Ball or even the faces of the Straw Hat Crew make up these stickers. They come in both in small and large sizes, on twelve sheets of a colorful backing in the shape of a plaster.
Peel off the tape on the back, and you can attach it to paper or other materials. The front side of the pocket is transparent so that you can see what is inside. The thin film material prevents it from being too bulky, even when attached to techo pages.
This item is inspired by the scenery okumi sees on her walks, and the idea that sprang from this view, of old days long gone, but that existed nonetheless.
The artwork in colored pencil, Some Days Ago, depicting a vividly detailed flower bed and meadow, offers a different kind of charm from her embroidery works.

These quotes are like a proverb, a soliloquy, philosophical, poetic, allegorical… It’s rumored that these short phrases with a mysterious charm are from a book that only Shigesato Itoi has hidden away, but as a mystery since the first issue of “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” nothing more has been revealed about it. We wonder who it actually is?

The Index Stickers are numbered from 1 through 12 and printed with the same color ink as the Original and the Cousin books. They are made in the same size as the monthly colored tab at the edge of the page of the Original for easy use.

Pages are made with the same strong Tomoe River paper from the planner book, which is thin enough to allow each 40-page memo pad to remain under 2 mm thick. The graph paper size is 3.55 mm, the same as Weeks.
Since it is made of paper, the file is light and easy to carry around, while still being durable enough to hold a lot of items.

This photo, capturing the full extent of Mount Denali at 6190 meters above sea level, was taken from inside a Cessna heading towards base camp for the summit. The view of the mountain composed of deep blue and white looks like a watercolor painting at a glance. This photograph is processed with cyanotype, which is a photographic process that involves a chemical solution and exposure to UV light. The appeal in this design comes from the brush marks that let you see where the solution was applied.
The artwork is the same as the cover design of the Weeks Hobonichi Techo titled En Route to Kumamoto Port at Dawn.
To capture the expansive, uplifting feeling of the landscape stretching across your field of vision—as Sakaguchi’s paintings often do—the notebook was designed to be used horizontally in landscape format.

The ruled lines used are the same that are used in the Hobonichi Note. The ruled line design was developed by Prof. Haruo Hibino and his team of researchers at BB STONE Design Psychology Unit, Inc., a venture company of Chiba University’s Faculty of Engineering.
The front depicts the beginning of the picture book Ohikkoshi by the artist duo 100%ORANGE―a scene called Squirrel Appears. As it sits there in the hollow of the tree by itself, perhaps this squirrel is looking towards the place it’s going next.
Since the Hobonichi Techo that has many pages uses thin and light Tomoe River paper, you may be concerned about leaving indentations on the opposite pages when writing with a lot of pressure.
Three designs based on embroidery artist and illustrator iyo okumi’s series of embroidered work Happy Tea Time have been turned into pencil boards.
These three pencil boards―one for each Hobonichi Techo size―were born from a collaboration with the digital handheld pet Tamagotchi, which took the world by storm after its 1996 release. The Tamagotchi series continues to be loved across generations, and all three designs are based on the nostalgic illustrations made in the 90’s.
