THE mixed media journal
These are the most flexible journal for mixed media as you can use anything in it. The paper is smooth cardstock, it's heavy enough for layers (pic 1), smooth enough for perfect gel prints (pic 2). It works perfectly with Dylusions paints (neons in pic 3). You can paint the cover or use stickers to give it an identity or theme like I did in pic 4. It's never been advertised as a watercolour journal but this is my favourite media to use in it. Watercolour paper absorbs the paint but this cardstock paper means the paint sits on top, staying wet for a while, giving you time to manipulate it, use granulating paints and create cool effects (pic 5). This makes it so flexible if you want one journal for everything. I use multiple journals but have always had an A4 Dylusions in use for well over 10 years now. It's the ultimate journal :-)
